Shopping at Barcelona Airport
Terminal 1
There are currently 35 shops in the new Terminal 1 at Barcelona Airport although eventually 81 retail outlets will be present by the end of 2009 / beginning of 2010. Once completed the shopping area in terminal 1 will be one of the most attractive in Europe in which passengers will be able to enjoy a top quality shopping experience.
Both fashion and accessory outlets of prestigious national and international brands will be present such as Adolfo Domínguez, Zara, Desigual, Gonzalo Comella, Massimo Dutti, Tascón, Aldeasa, Ferrari, Cottet, Etam Lingerie, La Perla, Adidas, La Sabatería, Accesorize, Tous, Aïta, Tuc Tuc, Custo, Items D'Ho and Piquadro. To name but a few.
There are also three newsagents to purchase books and magazines for your journey as well as a selection of places to buy gourmet foods, local products, sweets, chocolates and last minute gifts.There are currently 4 duty free/multi shops in the passenger only zones in the departures areas on the first and third floors of Terminal 1.

Duty Free Shopping at Barcelona Airport
When travelling from an EU country and airports on mainland Spain to the UK you do not have to pay tax or duty on goods you have bought in another EU country as long as the tax was included in the price when you purchased the items, the goods are for your own use and are being transported to the UK by you. This includes gifts, but does not cover any item that is to be used as a payment or resold (See below for a list of EU countries).
